Artist Statement
A graduate of the Maryland Institute College of Art, one of the nation's leading art schools, I have spent the last 15 years shaping a visual language rooted in oil painting, graphic design, and UX design. My work bridges classical technique and contemporary sensibility, weaving emotion and memory into every canvas. From galleries across the country to private collections in quiet homes, my paintings have found life and meaning in spaces both intimate and public.

At the heart of my practice is a deep commitment to storytelling—particularly through portraiture. My most personal and fulfilling body of work has emerged through custom pet portraits, created especially for those grieving the loss of a beloved companion. These works are more than images; they are elegies in oil, tender acts of remembrance that preserve spirit and personality in color and form. The joy and gratitude I’ve witnessed from clients—many moved to tears upon seeing their pet immortalized—fuels my belief in art’s quiet power to heal, comfort, and connect.
In addition to pet memorials, my commissions span family portraits, sweeping landscapes, and uniquely conceptual pieces crafted in close collaboration with clients across the country. Each painting is an exploration of presence—of what it means to see and be seen, to capture not only likeness but essence. Whether hung in a gallery or cherished in a private room, my goal is to create work that resonates beyond the surface. Art, for me, is not just expression—it is connection, devotion, and memory made visible.
